OWNER & PRINCIPAL DESIGNER // Suzanna Lawler started Lawler Design Studio in 2003. Designer and decorator, lover of all things architectural, detail virtuoso, and life enthusiast -- Suzanna Lawler creates a profile as colorful as those of her clients.
Her company's influence is far-reaching, spanning residential and commercial interior design as well as curated collections encompassing furniture, lighting, rugs, fabrics, trims, wall coverings, luxury bedding, fine china, decorative home accessories, draperies, and objet d'art. Suzanna's designs attract and inspire clientele with a diverse range of styles and project scopes.
Suzanna's journey began in 1999 when she earned a Bachelor of Interior Design from the University of Southern Mississippi, including extended studies in London, Paris, Rome, and Venice. She later expanded her expertise by graduating with a Master of Interior Design, emphasizing healthcare design, from Stephen F. Austin University in 2013. A consummate professional, Suzanna has passed the National Council for Interior Design Qualification exam (NCIDQ), served as President for the American Society of Interior Designers North Florida Chapter, and taught Interior Design classes at her alma mater, the University of Southern Mississippi.
With an insatiable thirst for knowledge, Suzanna loves to continue her education by traveling extensively to trade shows, markets, and cities worldwide that are renowned for amazing architecture and design. This allows her to stay at the forefront of industry trends while drawing inspiration from diverse cultures and landscapes. This combined with a focus on collaborative relationships with others in the industry is the key to how Lawler Design Studio serves its clients with creativity and the latest innovations that make our lives healthier and more enjoyable.

VP OF DESIGN AND STUDIO OPERATIONS
Originally from Long Island, New York, Tayler moved to Florida in 2011, to attend Florida Gulf Coast University. She stayed in Florida for a few years, after graduation, where she worked for a local designer in Naples. In 2018 she decided it was time to move on and she made the move to the Carolinas, where she joined the Lawler Design team, as one of the first employees! Along with a killer design eye, she also comes with a communications degree, bringing a level of organization and operational knowledge to our team. On a day-to-day basis, you can find Tayler wearing various hats -- whether its designing for clients, assisting with business operations, helping grow the Curated brand, and so forth!
When Tayler isn't working, she enjoys traveling and hiking and being outdoors with her husband and pups!
N I C O L E E D W A R D S
ASID, NCIDQ
DESIGNER
A native of North Carolina, Nicole received her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design and Marketing from Appalachian State University and began her career at Lawler Design Studio during the firm’s launch in Charlotte. In 2018, she moved to a prestigious design firm in Hilton Head Island, SC where she advanced to a Lead Designer before returning to the Lawler Design team in 2025. Her primary focus is high-end residential design, where her keen eye for detail allows her to create unique and functional spaces tailored to her clients’ preferences and lifestyle.
In addition, Nicole earned her NCIDQ certification in 2019, served as President of the ASID Carolinas Chapter in 2022, and her designs and leadership have been recognized in local publications and awards.
Nicole spends her free time traveling with her husband and making memories with their new baby girl.

DESIGNER
LEED GREEN ASSOCIATE
Abby graduated with a BS in Interior Design from Western Carolina University in 2016 and has since built a varied portfolio, working on everything from high-end residential projects to celebrity tour bus designs and stylish interiors for sorority houses nationwide. In December 2024, she made the move to join the Lawler team, where she brings her passion for creating unique spaces that perfectly reflect each client's individual style and vision. Along with her design eye, she also comes with experience in project and construction management, bringing a level of organization that helps guide projects from start to finish with every detail carefully considered. On a day-to-day basis, Abby loves staying up to date with design trends and industry changes, and has even served as co-chairman of the Western Carolinas chapter of ASID! She also holds her LEED Green Associate license, which allows her to bring beauty and environmental responsibility together seamlessly.
Outside of the office, Abby enjoys adding new stamps to her passport, catching live music, or spending time at home with her husband, dog, cat, and tending to her many plants!

ASSOCIATE DESIGNER
Originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, Kimberly spent her childhood in Portage, Michigan, before moving to Twin Falls, Idaho, at age 13. She later attended Utah State University in Logan, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Arts and Humanities in 2019. After completing her Certificate of Interior Design from Bridgerland Technical College in 2022, Kimberly embarked on an exciting journey that took her from Logan to Denver, Colorado, and eventually to Charlotte, North Carolina, with her husband. With a unique background that includes a cosmetology license and diverse educational experiences, Kimberly brings a creative and detail-oriented approach to the Lawler Design team. She thrives in the details, bringing design projects to life with both creativity and precision.
When Kimberly isn't working, you'll find her curled up under a blanket with a good novel or meticulously organizing every inch of her apartment. She's already dreaming of her next adventure, with Copenhagen or Berlin at the top of her travel list!

ASSOCIATE DESIGNER
A Charlotte native born and raised, Hailey graduated from Appalachian State University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design and a minor in General Business. Her connection to the Lawler Design team began early—she joined as an intern in the summer of 2018! After graduation, Hailey honed her skills at a boutique design studio specializing in remodels and furnishings, where she developed a deep appreciation for how small details shape a full design. She also spent time working for her dad's cabinet company, diving into the technical side of custom cabinetry and gaining invaluable hands-on experience. Now back with the Lawler Design team, Hailey brings a well-rounded perspective that blends creativity with technical expertise.
Out of the office, you'll find her spending time with her sweet pup, Lemon, catching up with friends, and hunting for unique treasures for her own little cottage!
JUNIOR DESIGNER
A L L Y S O N J O H N S O N
Allyson graduated from Appalachian State University in May 2025 with a Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, along with minors in General Business and Building Science. She first joined the Lawler Design team as an intern in May 2024, and after proving herself as a valuable team member, transitioned to a full-time role upon graduation. With her strong educational foundation and hands-on experience, Allyson brings fresh perspectives and enthusiasm to every project she touches. Known for her can-do attitude and infectious positivity, she tackles any task with a smile and brings so much joy to our team!
In her spare time, you'll find Allyson traveling to new destinations, attending concerts, playing cards with family, or spending quality time with friends!

DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
Lindsay attended The University of Kentucky, earning a Bachelor in Hospitality Management and Business. Lindsay has been working in the administrative/ operational field since graduating in 2014 and is excited to put her skills to use in the Interior Design world! In 2022, Lindsay and her husband made the move to Charlotte and Lindsay joined the Lawler Design team. Her attention to detail and strong organization skills are put to work every single day, and our team relies on her for effective ordering, and tracking, of design purchases from across the country.
On her time off, Lindsay enjoys traveling and cooking with her husband, reading a good book and exploring her new home -- the Carolinas.

DESIGN MARKETING MANAGER
Lauren found her path to Lawler Design by first serving as a summer intern in 2020. After graduating from Appalachian State University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design, she began working full-time for the studio. It's no wonder how she quickly worked her way up to Design Associate, as her accessorizing and floral skills shine on install days. Recently she transitioned into the Design Marketing Manager for our team, where she combines her design expertise with her passion for storytelling. Her creative eye and diligent work ethic now shine in a new way—bringing our design projects to life through marketing, helping to grow the Lawler Design brand, and supporting both our team and clients behind the scenes.
Lauren enjoys all things outdoors -- skiing, hiking, and gardening! She treasures quality time with family -- especially her two sweet babies!
